Can I bring a movie from home, a video store, or library and show it in class?

Answer

Yes, as long as it is a legal, commercial copy played for the purpose of education, the audience is primarily students, and no profit is gained. There is no longer the need to ensure a public performance license is in place.

* Remember that all videos played in class must be captioned as per the Captioned Media & E-Text Policy. For more information on captioning please contact our Accessible Media Coordinator Anne Villahermosa at avillahe@georgebrown.ca
